THE CONSTRUCTION OF A VOCATIONAL SCHOOL
for the training of new electricians, mechanics
and civil engineers who will help the country grow.
A SUSTAINABLE PROJECT
Building a school is not just about doing something for the future of the children, giving them hope and the tools to change their life. Building a school, especially in a country like Burundi, means giving the men and the locals a job. Because one of the conditions that we have had from the beginning - and to which Vispe immediately agreed - has been the sustainability of the project.

All the materials used in the construction - from the bricks to the roof tiles - are made on site, using local raw materials and labour. The digging of the foundations, the construction of the walls, the making of the desks and the procurement of the laboratory instruments are managed and carried out by locals, who are regularly paid.

THE NUMBERS FOR THE PROJECT
1.000: the people involved in the construction of the school.
240: the wooden desks that will be built by local carpenters and used in the classrooms.
257.000: the clay bricks, produced on site, which will be used to build the school.
12: the classrooms in the school.
3: the science labs that will be equipped.
30: the pupils in each classroom.
360: the total students who will attend the school.

Help us finish the school! Let's build the future together.
